The Role

B2C Distribution Ltd are a fast growing global ecommerce and distribution company based in Shoeburyness Essex. We are currently looking for a full stack developer to join our small IT team - someone who is able to hit the ground running and help us improve the service we deliver worldwide to over half a million customers.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of PHP (5.6+)
• Write clean, reusable, scalable and efficient code to power a number of global ecommerce websites
• Have the ability to quickly identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs
• Experience in the use of external API’s to send/receive data (mostly json and xml)
• MySQL - Must be comfortable working with large datasets and doing statistical analysis of large query results
• HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Redis and Memcache
• Linux system maintenance (Mostly CentOS/RedHat, with some Debian/Ubuntu)
• Version control (git)
• Writing command line scripts (PHP or another language) for maintenance tasks, reporting, and statistics generation
